I'm not sure if my post will mean much, but I didn't see anything wrong with your post Scott. And yes, a major priority in any business is to get paid, we are not slaves to everyone. Believe me, friend or foe, you always need to watch your back; you can never completely trust anyone. If you believe you can, than you are a fool. It is you, your spouse, and your kids that you need to protect and everyone else is just candy. It's a sad truth, but even a family member can do you wrong.

I believe too many people get too bent out of shape over what is ethical and what isn't. What is unethical, is not getting paid for a service rendered. Tell me one other business that would allow this to happen. If it were a store, you don't get your merchandise. If it were the electric, phone, or water, it gets shut off. If it was work done to your home, then they file a mechanics lien. This is a trust business and for the most part, I believe most people are trust worthy. But, it is always the few bad ones that ruin it for everyone. The bad ones need weeded out to make a clean path for the good ones. Yes, anyone can bad mouth someone, but I like to give each person a little credit on their intelligence levels to be able to weed out the nonsense. But that's just my 2 cents.
