Yes, I do. Particularly as outsourcing our industry involves outsourcing the American people against their will. This is not like outsourcing software development or manufacturing. This directly involves the safety and security of the American people. We have become the raw material used by foreign companies to produce a product they sell back to us.

Everywhere that I have seen the people educated as to what is in the record about them, and how it is being exploited by foreign agents for profit the response is always outrage.

I received an email just yesterday from Mildred Dodak, Saginaw County Registrar, Michigan. She wanted to let me know they have just won the last of four counts of a federal suit brought by national companies seeking to exploit their records in bulk.  This is a huge win for those who want to see the records protected within the jurisdiction where they were filed. This case relates only to the bulk transfer issue but without this protection, local officials have sometimes resorted to publishing the records online in a vain attempt to compete with the national companies over the Internet.

If you want to see this outrage in action you should read CourtHouse for Sale Cheap . The article isn't just about the bulk transfer but also covers bulk distribution via the Internet issue as well. At the end of the article Source of Title provides a link to my web site that offers more articles written by the local and national news media that have realized just how dangerous this practice really is.

I publish  News for County Officials to help officials understand the issues and help them regain control over their records. The issue really isn't one of access to the public records but one of remote access to those outside the jurisdiction. My newsletter reaches mostly just the officials in Texas but if you or anyone would like a copy to forward to your own local officials, news media, or citizens, just email me at dbloys@door.net . For me, has been the most effective way I have found to educate officials and local citizens. I've had officials from all across the country requesting copies and several at the federal level.
