Thank you for your reply to JT.  I am still not sure that I am the Smitty to which JT refers. I was born in a small town on the coast of South Carolina and yes I have a lowcountry southern drawl.  I have lived in several cities including, Washington, D.C., New York City, and New Orleans. I have found that once someone takes the time to get to know someone from a differnet background, they forget the accents and accept the person as he/she really is.
