Scott,

If they do, in fact, manage to eliminate the school tax, maybe using thesales tax isn't a bad idea.  Heaven knows we pay enough in it.  Especially Allegheny County.  They are at 7%, I know that Washington is at 6%.  But here is my concern with that.  Rendell is a Eastern PA guy, so I would be really concerned that all of that money would end up in the Philadelphia area, not across the state.Atleast witht he school tax, you know tha tthe money is going to your district because each district's tax is different depending on population.  I don't want the school that are at the top to fail because of where they are located.  That doesn't seem like a good solution either.

Moving out if state is looking better and better all the time.
