J T,  very nice of you to apologize to Smitty.  I was born & raised in NY, Brooklyn & LI--less than half my life there, the rest in the south, now being in Georgia for quite awhile.  Georgians think I have a heavy NY accent; my friends in NY detect a slight twang!  Anyway, cannot stand the stereotypes portrayed of the southerners or the yankees either.  While it is true there are differences, it's all just a matter of being polite to one another.  It made me smile to see that you were sorry and made me proud about another New Yorker.
