I don't personally have a problem with any members of NALTEA. So when you say it's not right to not join because I don't like someone, well you have it all wrong. No personal quarrels here. I am addressing things as an outsider. It is from the SOT site that I am making these observations. I can't remember how many complaints from different abstractors about particular businesses and they make it a point to mention when they are part of NALTEA. So I don't think you guys are seeing the big picture by starting small. I'm not knocking NALTEA, I'm sure it will be an effective tool one day. But listen to people to get your answers. Don't get tunnel vision. You're so set on insurance, E&o, and other things, that you don't even enforce your Code of Ethics. So if you don't enforce this, how is it helping the industry? Considering this is what is bringing abstractors down daily. It's talkied about daily on SOT. Not the things that have been mentioned such as insurance and so on. Address your members that are undercutting or not paying. That is a small start that will make a big difference.
