This post has gotten far off-topic, but I have to address one issue in your post, David. You stated that:
"Your report cannot be more or less accurate than your source"
This is not exactly correct... an abstractor's report CAN be much less accurate that the source. Many abstractors take short-cuts and their searches are, by far, LESS accurate than the source. However, I will agree with the point that the report cannot be MORE accurate than the source.
Regardless of the source, you will get better results from an experienced, professional abstractor.
