Hi, Michaela!

Just wanted to comment on your remarks above.

I've always been a firm believer that if someone can offer a better product at a lower price, then I'm all for it.

On the other hand, if one is "low-balling" a customer and cutting corners in the process just to take business from someone else, that's nothing more than manipulating the market.  True free market economics is a win-win proposition.  Your client gets a quality product, and in return you are able to garner a price which let you maintain a standard of living.

If there's one bit of encouragement I can give you, Michaela, it's this:  don't let these fly-by-night operators sour you on your business.  You've obviously worked hard to make yours the best abstracting company in your service area.  These back-stabbers won't be around long if they continue their dispicable practices.  As you indicated when you started this thread, your client came back, "begging and apologizing".

Guess they learned their lesson about quality vs. price, didn't they?

Regards,
Scott Perry
