Okay....so here is my little entry from the "client"world.
If there is truly an order that is a "rush".....why do these clients not call you and say hey, I have a search that I need back ASAP. Maybe I feel this way because when I started in this wonderful industry, we didn't use email to communicate with everyone. You had to call the office or page the abstractor. No one had cell phone, which is really ironic for me now. But I still will call my abstractor and ask them if it is possible to get this back quicker. There is no such thing as a "rush"order. You still have to do the same amount of work and you can not slow down time to make it appear that anything in coming quicker.
Many years ago, I took it upon myself to learn to abstract in Massachusetts. This helped me to become a more understanding client because I finally understood exactly what was being done for each and every order. I don't get as upset, because I know what is going on out there in the courthouses. Of course, there are still cases where I am getting leaned on by bosses and clients, but i need to do my best to protect you as the abstractors because without you all, I don't have a job.
Hopefully, I have explained myself well.
