Our industry is full of crazinest. Why do we do the abstracting, just for Settlement comapnies to get the policy premium anyway?  They pay us pennies and the get the title premium.  They only copy what we provide.  The only way to fight this is for Professional abstractors to come together a hold steady on prices. We would have to lobby  the Underwriters, and Lenders that not everyone can perform a search, just because the data is online.  Settlement companies do not  have an interest in Quality searches because they pass liability to the abstractor or the title underwriter. I wonder what would happen if Greenlink COULD NOT service thier customer because abstractors wouldnt do work for them anymore.
I am up for a fight.
