Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions or info on cyber liability insurance? I'm just a sole proprietor abstractor, I'm not a notary, I don't handle closing/escrow, I just do searches. I have no employees, it's just me. With all the wire fraud going on, it's been brought to my attention that if we as abstractors send or receive emails with title companies, that our emails/computers could also be compromised. And if the access point is traced back to our email, we as the abstractor (not the escrow company) can be held liable. I have a firewall, antivirus, antimalware, password secured computer. I have E&O and a small general liability policy. But I feel like with so much cyber crime, I may need more protection for my computer and everything on the hard drive.
