Hi:
Well first, please let me reiterate that these searches in question are conducted by a bona fide TruClose employee so whenever you bring up companies not paying their contractors, that certainly has no merit in this discussion specifically. We certainly pay our employees well here, as well as our abstractors on time, always. No exceptions. I do not think you are suggesting otherwise, but I just want that covered as I am sure some would think otherwise based on what is stated in the prior threads.
FYI: TruClose is located in a very strategic area in relation to the Allegheny County Courthouse in Pittsburgh. It would be a bad business move to recently open a company given the current economy (Pittsburgh is Bankrupt, No I am not kidding) and taxes in Pittsburgh, and not have some type of strategy in where the office is to be located. We are able to take a 10 minute ride on what is informally called the "T", and once downtown, only a 2 minute walk to the left exists. $2.15 with a transfer per day is certainly feasible with an average 22 day work schedule per month. Employees get reimbursed as well as are given the option to purchase themselves a personal monthly pass, good anytime in the month for unlimited use, with TruClose picking up 50% of the bill. Most companies, even with residence in the city offer no reimbursement. The 50% pass personal pass has been especially nice for Penguin games this season. Saves my teammates $10.00 - $15.00 per game. Should be great as well for the Pirate games in the summer. Just a short walk over a bridge saves $15.00 event parking, sometimes 3, even 4 nights per week. That reminds me, anyone who is a fan of baseball or just great architecture, visit PNC Park. Let me know if you ever need tickets. One more thing, Pittsburgh has a relatively low cost of living. Most importantly, we are striving to become something different, bring about something more refreshing in today's market. Everyone seems to be so down on the industry so why not attempt liven it up a little? Especially if nobody gets hurt in the process? We aren't your average title company, that is for sure.
Judy, I was only asking as we are all in different parts of the country and wanted to see how advanced everyone's local governments are and their internal capabilities.
Thanks again for all of your interests and your responses.
