When I start working for a company, I make them aware that I have a cancellation/late fee policy. For cancels, if they cancel within 2 hours of placing the order, they pay any fees i have incurred, plus a cancellation fee. After the 2 hours, they pay for any fees I have incurred plus the cost of the search. I charge a late fee of 15% on invoices older than 45 days. It should be thirty, but with every company paying on a different schedule, its just easy for me to remember that anything older than 45 days is late. I've never had a problem.
