I think that the experience of most of the abstractors on this board has been much to the contrary. In most cases it has been a matter of the VM's imposing less than the true value of their services on the abstractors, and playing one off against the other to get the lowest price. Unfortunately, I think you guys have cut thier rates to the limit. Read Wendi See's post above. This post is representative of many over the past eighteen months. She is talking about a major title company in your back yard.

There are many other more lucrative areas of the real estate industry for abstractors to make a liveable wage. I for one will assist them in any way possible. The truth of the matter is that the VM's have negotiated everything to rock bottom. Time for the abstractors to seek their worth elsewhere. You guys always have the Indians to rely on.
