That is the best way to handle it. The signing agents are in a much better position than the abstractors to negotiate their fee. They do not have to worry about automation eliminating their jobs nor having their jobs outsourced.
I also get calls for from the $50-$75 signing services, but like you, I turn them down. By the time you deduct out your expenses you would wind up with about $20 in your pocket. You might have to chase after it too. If I have to chase after payment, it is just as easy to chase after a $300 fee as it is to chase after a $50 fee.
