Maybe this is another service that varies with geography.  In our little corner of Ohio, the rates that the title companies charge for the settlement fee is $150.  I have seen some out of town companies charging more, up to $300, but the local companies don't charge anywhere near that much.  The $125 includes the disbursement as well. 

I have offered to do closing in our office for $125 and they usually want someone to go to the borrower's home or they only want to pay $75.  I politely say "no" and let them find someone else.
