I have to agree with you in regard to both the original "Star Trek" and the "Next Generation" series.  I was never as impressed with "Deep Space Nine", "Voyager" or "Enterprise"; they never were as good as the first two because they came along after Roddenberry's death.  Rick Berman did a fairly decent job with the latter three, but the absence of Gene's influence was obvious.

(I know, I know, "what does this have to do with the title industry??!!", but this is important.  We're talking "Star Trek" here!!
