Thank you! I will request the newsletter separately. I operate in Florida, but have worked all over the United States as a Landman. In Florida, the Clerks were mandated to have their records on line no later than 2006, but 60 of the 67 counties already are (to varying degrees of success). In many of the counties, even if you sit in the records room, you have to access the records through the internet.
To my knowledge, only Bay County, has addressed the issue and were confronted with media about landowner complaints, specifically online SSNs. There response (and most other Florida counties) is a fee-based subscriber system. Not much help there - a little.
