Up here in the Cleveland area, I live in the snow belt on the east side. We still had some snow. But there was some green patches showing through. In other areas there was no snow. We have been buried in snow since before Thanksgiving. It decided to warm up the week before Christmas.
When I was a little girl my Great Grandfather told me that if you have a Brown Thanksgiving, you will have a White Christmas, and if you have a White Thanksgiving you will have a Brown Christmas. Every year I make note of the weather on Thanksgiving. And I have to say he has been correct for the most part for all the years since.
I 'm sure that this prediction only applies in the snow areas of our country. It is interesting what little tidbits stick in our minds as children, but I am so greatful that in this ever so busy life we lead, at least twice a year I remember my "Pop".
Wishing Everyone Peace & Joy Throughout the New Year,
