Well good luck Robert - although I didn't go through law school, just paralegal training, it has been said by the attorneys who instructed us they taught us the same as they did the lawyers.  I'm sure not to the extent and with the same requirements, but basic teaching the same way.  I remember the anticipation of the graded appellant briefs, etc. that we were to prepare - wondering if you actually learned how to argue correctly.  I guess it was do to the way you all are saying we were taught.  Case law has to be argued correctly and effectively to make it work with the case at hand.  I would think that you are up against alot more than some that are already attorneys.  As time passes, degrees are always fine-tuned and the requirements for passing steepened.  With every passing year law becomes more complex.
