I would like to comment on Les Christies'piece on Title Insurance.  Title insurance is as important for the consumer as the lender. Your claim that: clearing title is as easy as pushing a few buttons and printing out a report is absurd. There are many mistakes made in conveyencing as well as in the recording officials index of public records. All the more reason to have title insurance. I would like to invite you to accompany me in performing a title search here in Connecticut any time. If I did my reporting as you have, I would hope I had purchased title insurance.
