You are right, you can't get a copy of the computer index.  What is really fun about St. Louis County is the the index rolls prior to 1974 is on micorfisch rolls that can hardly be read.  Then 1974 to 1995 is on microfisch 3 by 5s which are viewed through a viewer.  Then 1996 grantor is on two index rolls and the grantee is on two index rolls.  Then the rest of 1996 to present is on the computer.  Ellen, correct me if I am wrong, but I have heard really no plans to update the system, except the ocassional rumor.

Like Ellen, we report all open DOT's even though we know in our hearts and logially they have been satisfied.

There was a change in Missouri law a year ago last June, I believe, giving the mortgage companies more time to release the mortgage, but it is pretty much ignored and insured over.
