Robert, I worried about the same things. I talked personally to underwriting at State Farm to make sure that I would have no laspe of coverage. They did understand, at the national level, that my coverage would go back to the first date that I acquired E&O. I wanted to make sure that both of us understood that. I didn't obtain my policy locally since none of the agents in my hometown knew about it but I went out of town where the agent was knowledgable of what it was(she was an ex-title abstractor) and she searched State Farms policies and found it. She and her office buffed up on it and I feel confident that they now know what they are talking about. I compared their coverage to my current policy and feel very good about it. But, I see your point. I want complete, unlasped coverage too. And everyone should feel confident with their agent and policy before switching companies.
