I was afraid of that. I told my husband to deposit the check because I thought they may stop payment on it. I have an attorney friend that will send them a nice letter.

They sent me copies of all invoices that I sent them last year and attached a check. They took all of the invoices where it is clearly stated the fees for each individual search and that they paid each invoice in full (after pulling teeth to get them to pay me). Then, on my November 2005 invoice, they deducted the fees that they disputed from each invoice and cut me a check for the difference. That is my complaint, if they had a problem, they should have contacted me the first invoice that they received that they disputed instead of paying all of them and then taking it out on me with the last invoice.
