In Connecticut we have both strict foreclosures and foreclosures by sale.
In the case of a strict foreclosure the plaintiff simply records a "foreclosure certificate" after the court has granted either a motion for judgment after default or a motion for summary judgment, and the the date of redemption has expired. This legally conveys title to the plaintiff.
In the case of a foreclosure by sale a committee is appointed by the court to sell the property to the highest bidder, and a committee deed is then approved by the court and recorded by the successful bidder
