In most of our counties, you cannot do a complete online search.  Some office still aren't online, and some only have the index; you cannot view a copy remotely.  So, it wouldn't work here, for me.  But, I can see where a lot of places won't have a lot of other options, but to take what they can get.

And, refi rates are not at 0% - the fed rate, for loans less than 24 hours are near zero.  Mortgage rates are tied to bond rates, which are a bit higher.  Still, rates are low and refinances are going to create a lot of work that will need done. 

I wonder if remote notarization and online loan closings will see a spike?  I still don't like the idea of a remote notary, but it's gaining in popularity.
