Dear Fellow SOT Members:

After having had the day to ponder some of the posts from this morning, it occurs to me that more than a few individuals think that the only time one should ever be allowed to post on any of the SOT message boards is when it is something which is directly related to business, and most certainly never anything which could even be remotely construed as "negative".

Rob Franco and his team have done a masterful job of providing us with a valuable resource called "Source of Title", whose role some believe should be solely that of networking and advertising medium for land title industry professionals.  Many others, myself included, see it as a way to freely exchange ideas, thoughts and opinions, share experiences (both positive and negative) and yes, at times, to blow off some steam.

I believe that the exchanges which take place on this forum are as rich and diverse as the backgrounds of those who post here.  I also think that such exchanges are healthy for us, as they are reflective of the fact that while we (or at least some of us) still love this industry, we do have interests outside of work, and that our jobs do not define who we are as individuals.

“It’s just too bad” that some simply don’t see the value in that.

Regards,
Scott L. Perry, President
Jireh Business Information Solutions, Inc.
