I think where I first was confused was the HUD had the title search at one amount and I did the title and charged a different amount. The title search, to my understanding now, is the amount paid to, let's say, GAC (General American Corp) and not what was paid to me as a subcontractor. It would not be practical, especially if I subcontracted it out to someone else after GAC subcontracted it out to me.
I was getting irrate until an attorney pointed this out to me.
