Kevin,
Yes I am new to this forum. I would first like to apologize for my post, it appears to be taken out of context. It is not meant to insult those of us that have been in this industry all our lives and depended on it for bread on our table. With that being said. In the Cleveland market I can pick up an examiner for 9.00/ hour fresh out of high school or junior college that can't make one iota of sense on an abstract. So who is to say, (and I'm not advocating overseas outsourcing, my company is based in Cleveland and we produce policies done by Americans and are American citizens), who is to say a trainer cannot teach an Indian person how to abstract and pay them 5.00/ hour? It has been proven obviously they have a higher capacity for learning technology and the most important key that companies look at...... they value their job because they know if they aren't accurate, and by the book, there are 400 other people in line waiting to take their place. Again, this is only my opinion, is there a time when our service is so far superior to anything else, that a company will not consider outsourcing even if it saves them an enormous amount of money? My answer is no. When speaking one on one with owners of title companies and I show them how I can save them on their bottom line, they all without hesitation sign up. When I have the same conversation with middle management and supervisors, they think of the loss of jobs, or the quality will slip. What in your opinion is more important to a business owner, the bottom line or the superior service? When your client asks you for a price break, what's your opinion then?
