Laugh if you will boys, but I have on SEVERAL occaisions been doing title searches here in CT when a homeowner has come into the Town Clerks Office asking how to get a copy of their Deed and how to find out if there are any liens on their property - because their mortgage lender asked them to obtain the information.  It may be scary, but it is happening!!!
