I couldn't agree more with Kevin's post. Not only is it important to have an operating agreement, it is more important that it is written properly.  Even for single member LLC's. When I created my first LLC (two-member) I did my own, BIG MISTAKE!  Had it been written properly I would have avoided a six month disagreement with my former partner.  Even my new LLC which is single member  has a well written operating agreement. I can tell you in hind sight, it is worth every penny to have this done by an Attorney.
