This happened a couple months ago to my husband David. Someone used his number... don't know how they got it... and signed up with one of those sites where you can find people. I check our accounts on a daily basis and saw the withdrawal. I thought it was legit and was teasing David about looking for old girlfriends... he was clueless. I immediately contacted our bank and they contacted the company who the money was paid to. Our bank immediately credited us back the funds. I don't know the outcome because the bank said they pursue all possible fraud. They issued us new cards and numbers for all our accounts even though only one was used.

The same thing happened to our daughter but that one was traced to her having used her card at a restaurant and an employee used her number for some on line shopping.

I really dislike these new Visa/ATM cards... they are just too darn easy to use by anyone!!! I am really sorry this happened to you Jason. You are lucky you caught it so quickly.
