Hey Jason,
In a way, Nasco demands are nothing short of boycotting abstractors for at least six months. I don't favor boycots from anyone. Other companies are making the same threat thinking they can rely instead on the six dollar a day folks in India, China and Pakistan.
The overseas threat isn't limited to independent abstractors and it will not stop with us. The employees of these companies may soon learn they can also be replaced. It seems to me the VM's haven't really thought this through. The VM's and independent abstractors rely on each other. When VM's salespeople call on their clients what is the number one thing they are selling? It is the service of the abstractors through the VM's network. Once that network is destroyed, what will the VM's sell?
Not all VM's have been so short-sighted. There are many who still value the asset they created; a national network of professional abstractors.
