Speaking of disorganized clients, several years ago I was hired as an investigator by a local bank to identify their own hidden assets. I found over half a million in judgments in their favor. They were very surprised and grateful when I delivered the long list of lost assets. I offered to help them collect but they assured me their team would get right on it and I had already provided them everything they needed to collect.

Six months later the bank called to tell me they had lost the list. Lucky for them, I had kept a copy.
