I also enjoy the discussion. And, it seems we agree... so long as what is in your best financial interest is acting in an ethical manner.
What happens when you are best serving your client by treating a third party in an unethical way - such as a vendor? Since it is in your best financial interest, thus serving your "greed" motive, is it OK to ignore your ethics? After all, vendors are a dime a dozen - you can always find another vendor.
I think we will agree that in addition to greed, a business owner should also be guided by a strong ethical and moral compass. At least, I hope we can agree on that.
