You may want to try the search feature on this forum to look for messages about setting up a mobile office. There was alot of discussion last year on the topic. I seem to remember that David Bloys of Davick Services, TX, had a pretty neat setup.
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to improve your turn time without sacrificing quality. Especially in a slow market, when you may not have enough orders in a particular county to pay for the gasoline to get there and back, a means to receive orders in the field may come in handy. It may even save you enough trips to quickly pay for itself, I don't know. More importantly, the investment in technology could help you to retain your customers. The pressure on turn time is not going to let up.
