Thank you for sharing.  It was a sad story to report.  It is unfortunate that these kinds of things happen.  I just spoke with a consumer the other day who had a check bounce from a closing.  She was a purchaser and had a small check cut back to her.  I have to wonder, if her check bounced, did the sellers, the mortgage company's, etc?  She could find herself in further trouble if the mortgage was not properly paid off and released.

Surprisingly, it was one of the largest agencies in town.  I wonder if this will draw the attention of their underwriter... could be a sign of troubles to come.
