"I think that the title problems are going to continue to increase until the industry realizes that a "professional title search" needs to be completed by a knowledgeable abstractor, it takes more time to produce a thorough search, and it costs more to get reliable title work.

It is true you get what you pay for. Does anyone else see a correlation between the increase in title problems and the increase in inexperienced (cheaper) abstractors?"

No kidding! How long before the people ordering the searches catch on? Probably never.
