Online records are great for the abstractor sitting at home writing reports at 2 a.m., and wondering if they missed a certificate of satisfaction, e.g.  BUT, I do strongly believe that access to records should be limited to those in the profession, and that may mean subscribing to all the sites.  Which means more out of pocket expense.  Perhaps we should lobby for a nationwide records management system, allowing qualified abstractors, etc., who submit appropriate credentials, to pay an annual fee, which would allow access to all available sites, via password only.  Bring on the boo-hisses!

But think about it ... don't we all want to have access for our selves, but not for any joe schmoe who thinks he can "check title" ...
