Got ya Jan,

I agree that perks are great.  From my perspective: Joing NALTEA for the small fee has been a perk itself.  NALTEA's message is out there. The good folks who started this organization have a great vision, but we all must sacrafice and do our part if we are to be a strong organization, the other perks you mention will come with a stronger association. Just like any other trade or civic group we need to have the membership and finances to do so. NALTEA has been recognized by many other's in the Industry as a positive step for Independant Abstractors.

There are many models to use, but what's the point of having a model if we don't have the membership! We'll that's not quite accurate, Naltea does have a model and a mission and that's what we need to work on, obviosuly the more ideas and input we have the better it can be.

That's just my own personal opinion.
