I guess we are lucky here in Northern Virginia, the clerks have seen fit to incorporate everything into our on line systems so we don't have to bounce all over the place to get a title done- assessments, taxes, judgments, indexes and  copies of the documents are all there for us to complete a full title for at least 100yrs if needed. Judgments and UCC's do not exceed there statutory limits though. We used to have marriage docs until they cleaned up the systems for SS#'s . It must have been the long time they took getting up and running that we were complaining about 10 yrs ago, but now we have it made compared to the posts here from various states and county clerks offices that have managed to just get the money and run and leave the abstractors to hang out to dry and do things the "old" way. I am convinced the new ways provide a much better product that I can turn in to the clients.
