Well George, I guess in some cases it has to do with study habits and such, but being a parent of a multiple learning disabilities, including dysgraphia, right hemisphere processing disorder, learning disabled etc. (11 total diagnosis).  The problems we faced in a school district that I had to petition the State of Texas on had nothing to do with good study behaviors, etc. - it had to do with a system that is severely failing kids with special needs - trust me if you think it is bad for a kid that has an ability to do good - you can only imagine what I have been through.
