I guess what Wendi is trying to say is that she did indeed get paid in full for her services. But while her method did work for her today, it has severed any chance of future work. In the past month, since this post has been going on, I have been receiving emails from researchers asking if I can work with them in getting their accounts caught up. I have not received one nasty email from a researcher in regards to their account. And in each one of them, we have been working it out. I don't want to single any of them out, but I do want to say thank you to them.
Now I am not trying to stir up the "hornets nest" again, but I must say something while a "black list" is going around, that it's not totally fair to put some companies on that list when it is true, like Robert stated in previous posts, that sometimes the people claiming "non-payment" by a company, may have personal conflicts with that company versus never receiving a payment from the same company.
Yes, if a company suddenly disappears, we all should know about it, but maybe there should be a more formal investigation from SOT (not to add onto you all's workload), instead of a "shoot now, ask questions later" type of mentality. Maybe the SOT admins can find a volunteer to do the research instead. It may also give the defending company a chance to respond, especially if they are not a member of SOT and have no idea that their reputation is being ripped apart.
Thanks,
Jim
