Jim, I'm confused, where in my post do I state that your company owes me.
In my post, what I stated, is that every business needs to have a capital, when they get into rough times. To cover contractors, employees, etc.. Instead of bringing their issues into the forum, on how their clients have not yet pay them, so the abstractors needs to wait.
If that is the case, I am running my business wrong. I should just go ahead and submit orders to abstractors, have them complete the orders, and just let them know, that we cannot pay you, due to the fact that my clients have not yet pay us. Instead, I will go into my capital and take care of my abstractors, as they are the reason we are in business. With out the abstractors, company like yours and nationwide title company would not be in business. As I assure you, you cannot keep taking planes to one state to another to complete a $35 or $45 search for your client. I just don't see the dilemma. Is respect toward the industry. You order a search. The search needs to be pay. You want to cancel the order, you need to call 24 hours before, not 10 minutes after the order was submitted. You order the search, you need to pay the full amount of the search, not partial payments.
I am not taking it out on you, is just business sense. As many abstractors will agree.
