Just an observation: You seem very quick to jump on the defensive about
paying abstractors $25.00 for current owners. In the meantime, those of us
who work in this business on a daily basis for years will stop answering the
stupid questions for those cheap laborers. We will not tell them if the deed says
it is subject to a mortgage they should check to see if it is still open.
We will not tell them about foreclosures being on the original borrower,
Maybe we'll even quit telling them that the legal description does matter.
Just my 2 cents!! After all it's your insurance, not theirs.
