What makes this even scarier is that 99% of loan officers don't even know what RESPA is, let alone what weight a RESPA violation can carry!

I have just resorted myself to saying things, like: "Yeah, RESPA violations can mean federal prison time - wow! Who'd want to go to jail for a $39.00 Parker Pen!"

Either they "get" it or they don't.  If nothing else, I amuse myself. LOL!
