LOVE the coupon idea!  Sort of a variation on the "volume discount".  I've had an advance payment policy in place for a few years as a way of dealing with "habitual deadbeats", but I've never had to enforce it, thank goodness.

In a totally unrelated matter, I did finally get payment from Title Direct out of Minnesota.  They recently ordered a search for Cambria County, PA and when they didn't get their search, they sent a status request via fax three days later.  In the "ETA for completion" blank I wrote in bold black letters, "WHEN YOU PAY FOR PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED WORK."  They FedExed a check to us the following day!

My guess is that they owed money to other searchers in this area and couldn't find anyone to reassign it to.
