As a title examiner, doing work with multiple agencies, we'd NEVER accept overseas work UNLESS they are licensed in New Jersey.

In licensed states, you cannot use unlicensed searchers  to produce Commitments, since it is considered "effecting" title, and that requires licensing.

Is Ohio an unlicensed state?   I did some work years ago in Ohio and most of the actual Underwriters did their searches "in-house" AND prepared commitments vs the title agencies doing it.to post a reply: login - or - register
