Thanks David- They seem to adamant about containing the records and not give them away. As I have indicated before it will do no good to get the bulk anyway -we had this problem a long time ago when the clerks would (only Fairfax would offer this) the microfiche of the indexes- they would cost a bundle and only be good to the moment in time they were produced, they still required a trip into the record room to get the current info that was always making what I had just bought obsolete. buying the records in bulk only gets them up to a moment- but they are or must be working around that some how.
I did not mean to imply that RedVision had anything on their site about independent contractors-I was surmising since they make the statement that they do or will cover those counties, and knowing they have not or do not have the bulk records to be able to make that kind of statement with out having some way of providing the titles they say they can or will be able to when they finish "developing" their business- that was all I intended to convey in that message- they are just fooling those that read it, as they are fooling the unknowns about how they do business- probably a good thing to stay away from them - I know I will not deal with them , but I have no need to anyway. I hope Lisa reads these last two posts too so she can see that not all of the country is being sold out -I do hope the Texas counties can get their act together and provide some sort of secure ,subscription , password static IP , US Citizen protected way to overcome what has occurred as far as what I have read from both you and Lisa have indicated- just seems like the clerks were like some of the Enron/WorldCom/Global Crossing top dogs.
