We already have an independent association...it's called NALTEA.  One of its stated objectives  is:

"To provide information and education to the membership of the Association; to members of local, state and federal legislatures having jurisdiction over the land title industry; to consumers; and to businesses engaging in the transfer of ownership interests in real estate."

Furthermore, NALTEA has issued a Press Release with regard to the issues Teresa raised.  Now, it seems to me that this issue is tailor-made for the Public Relations Committee.  I'm sure that with input from our Mr. Bloys and with members such as myself contacting the investigative divisions of our local television and radio news outlets, getting the word out would be relatively easy.

How about it, gang?  We have the infrastructure already in place. Let's start putting it to good use.
